1st Fiba Asia u16 at Pune India
Hi all!! ((: did you miss me?? i did! i miss Singapore!
when i was at India, i kept whining, kept saying that i wna come back to Singapore!!
miss my family like siaoxz!!
Nevertheless, it was a great experience back then in India.
the flight to India was a long and draggy one cos the plane's really small!
time difference was 2h 30mins.
Made lotsa new friends there
there were many ayg players :)
we played against players with better skills and better fitness
they were way way better than us!
imagine training thrice a day, while us training only thrice a week. HUGE DIFFERENCE
anyway the two teams i like best are Chinese Taipei and Japan!
first match we played against taipei and we got thrashed, 147-20
then after that opening ceremony me violet and joy went around taking pictures. heh :D
joy was crazy over no. 7 of Malaysia, lols!
next day had match against Philippines, our good friends! (:
still lost, but this time not thrash, around 16points. sigh. ):
next day was our most most crucial match against hongkong.
everyone was expecting us to beat em, but still..
close fight throughout, couldn't maintain our lead. lost 72-49 ;'(
i cried cos it was a match that i thought we could win, and i did my best! but it wasn't good enough ;(
SORRY BOUT THE TURNOVERS ;(
Thursday was against the giants! CHINA!!
TA MEN ZHEN DE HAO GAO AH! like 199 being the tallest.
i like no.5 and no.9 from china :)) I'm learning from em (:
they really fangshui like siaoxz! but we lost 115-15.
scored 6 points, feels good to score against players that a MUCH MUCH taller!
Chinese Taipei and China were far TOO superior.
losing all the earlier matches, i was pinning high hopes on winning India.
but we lose out on defence. they pulled our defense out and scored using their centers.
they had freakishly long arms, yeah so they were able to own the rebounds.
hais i think i played badly, was dam sadddddd ;(((
the taste of defeat was horrible, but i know that's not the main thing.
thing is that I gain many things from this competition :)
