My grandma & grand pa turns 81

Happy birthday. It is actually quite saddening to see how these folks age. It isn't very often that I get to see my grandparents, because I don't exactly have a lot of time. I try to compensate by passing them some pastries that I baked, some of their all time favorite food like goreng pisang from bedok, kueh bahulu from simei..

My grandpa stays in the old folks home at simei, and he really does not the place. It's a long story behind. Apparently, he left home and my grandma raised the kids single-handledly. And when my grandpa met an accident, the hospital contacted his kins. He couldn't live on his own because he needs someone to take care of him. On a few occasions, I tagged along when my parents visited the old folks home. And it seems like his condition worsen after every visit. I witnessed the symptoms of his illness, and I reduced to tears. A weak heart, maybe. Disheartening as I picture my parents in the exact same situation. My imaginations ran wild and it was tormenting inside.

I hope my parents will be as fit as a fiddle. I don't know if I'm thinking too much, but mum and dad, here's my dedication to you guys. Love you all, you mean too much to me.
