Siglap women team

Another silver cookie for this year. Yes, we lost to Qunyan in the finals. Everyone betted on us. It's true, we are a better team. Not complacency. We were not in the best condition to play in the finals. It's true when they said, Qunyan came prepared. Our game was quite messy and we only played well for one out of four quarters. The ball is round, we lost. It's a little wasted but... We will come back stronger. A little icing to the cake, we exceeded our target. We aimed for top 4, and now we are second, we should give ourselves a pat on the back. Great Job gals!!

I joined this team thinking that I would be one of the bench player. I made it a point to cheer as loud as a speaker when I'm not on the court, I wanted to be a burning soul in the game even though I'm not handling with the ball or scoring some mini points. Some things come when you least expected it. I wasn't the main player of this season but at least I got a fair bit of opportunity to play.



It feels very different to play with older and experienced players. At times I feel inferior and have zero level of confidence and i inevitably end up shoving the ball outta my hand as though it's a bomb bag that would explode in milli seconds. But I'm glad most of the time, I constantly try to remind myself that I've the ability and I've got to trust myself. Because if I doubt myself who would trust me, right?

Nevertheless, I just wanted to say something fair. Basketball Is a team game. Sometimes, if we could trust the rest of your teammates more, maybe we'd be able to turn the game around. because the younger players need it more than you do.

Before the game, I was all excited about seeing a hugeass supporter with their bong bongs cheering us on. It's disappointing because only very very little came. That feeling sucked, because siglap is affiliated to Ahs. And back then we used to have doubled, tripled and possibly quadrupled supporters than the opponents. This time it was the other way round. disappointing, but thanks for the goodluck messages and tweets:) thanks cs, Cheryl and Zoe! Plus my Tp teammies.

A bronze medal that is, a total cash price of $100 for the whole team of 4. What a waste, cos we wanted to earn some bucks. Ended up with a pathetic $25 apart from the $15 that we paid for registration.

Many things mean more than money, HAHA. I had fun!! And the funnest part was that I got to play dodge ball!! Freaking fun freaking fun!! I made new friends. And I might be joining them at sentosa on one of the Saturdays. Imagine me playing beach dodgeball, whooooaaaa! I miss suntanning~~~~~ okay can you'll tell that I'm frigging excited?! Haha.
