I was ALL excited about my Gingerbread house. I was kinda sick actually, but I braved through all illness to BUILD MY HOUSE! I was having exams the whole of this week and everything ended on Friday. Thank God all my papers went on smoothly even though I had matches and trainings in between my study time. I like being busy, so here goes.... :) And I actually researched on my "gingerbread house project" in the midst of studying for my CRM (open book) paper. I told you I was excited righttttttt
OKAY time for some down right confession. My gingerbread house is edible (because all the ingredients can be eaten) but . . . . . . it is because I don't fancy eating gingerbread AND I spammed lots and lots of royal icing sooooo no one's gonna eat it because it's zero calorie food and i'm not giving it to anyone. Hmmmm..... it means everything is just for picture perfect moment. Enjoy browsing/looking/drooling/rolling-your-eyes at the pictures. (hope you like it)
Pictures time babies!
These are the ingredients.. i love cinnamon
love da cookie cutters
1) Cream butter and sugar together until creamy
2) Sift the flour and spices cup by cup and mix until incorporated
Look at how messy I got (OOOOPS did I just lose track of taking pictures, sorry my hands were too dirty)
I was very precise in the cutting and made sure everything was straight and almost 90 degrees, because research says so. I didn't want to have the big bad wolf blowing down my house. HUMPH
Finally finish baking and we are only half way there babies! The white specks are actually icing sugar to add the Christmas-sy touch
HERE COMES MY FAVORITE PART, THE PART THAT I WAS WAITING FOR..... builllldddd yourrrr hhoouuuuuse anddddd decoooorraaattteeee *squeals*
Royal icing, pink and white (made them myself but I dint take pictures, again....)
the final product, they're quite mini!
I asked my maid to join in the fun too! She was so important.. when I ran out of AP flour, she flew down to help me get it (L) thank you :)
The bottom right is what my maid drew :D
I got my recipe from here:
